PITCH lecturers provide conference and event organizers with compelling expressions of ideas, often out-of-the-main-stream. The PITCH lecturers' presentations draw the attention of the public to the impact in society of global technology developments, and vice-versa.
Nicolas Pettiaux
Nicolas, a founding member of PITCH, gives a lecture on international cooperation in the field of open source software on February 25-26, 2002 at a workshop organized by DIRC of the University of Newcastle under the auspices of Brian Randell, an Honorary Member of PITCH.
Michel Bosco
On September 4, 2003, upon the invitation of Prof. Jordi Aguilo, he addresses the participants in the First Ibero-American Seminar on Bioengineering in Antigua Guatemala with "some good reasons for entering into international scientific cooperation".
On May 28, 2004, he gives a dinner talk in Guatemala City to remember Professor Ilya Prigogine, who had passed away on May 28, 2003.
He gives a keynote lecture on "Intercontinental technological cooperation: A European perspective in the Field of IST" at the 5th ICACT 2003 Conference in Phoenix Park, Korea, on January 20, 2003, upon the invitation of Thomas Yoon, Vice-President of the Korean National Computerization Agency.
He lectures on information science at the "3rd Ilya Prigogine Seminar: Thinking Science" on February 9, 2002. Ilya Prigogine and Ioannis Antoniou, both Honorary Members of PITCH, preside to the sessions organized by the International Solvay Institutes for Physics and Chemistry.
